JOB SUMMARY:
\n \nDesigns layouts and equipment for parcel sortation and material handling systems. This role involves developing concepts, performing engineering calculations, creating specifications, and collaborating with internal teams. Requires Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
\n \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
\n \nDevelop detailed mechanical engineering designs and calculations for parcel handling projects.
\nProduce mechanical installation drawings, fabrication drawings, and supporting documentation.
\nCollaborate with project teams to ensure consistent design practices and compliance with engineering standards.
\nPrepare AutoCAD drawing sets for permits, installation, and as-built conditions.
\nSupport the review and approval of submittals, vendor drawings, and design changes.
\nProvide technical input during project planning, installation, and commissioning phases.
\nOther engineering responsibilities as needed.
\n \nWORK ENVIRONMENT:
\n \noccasional field visits.

\n \nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
\n \nProficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D CAD design software).
\nStrong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including materials, mechanics, and manufacturing methods.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
\nAbility to apply independent engineering judgment and problem-solving skills.
\nAbility to produce accurate, high-quality drawing and design packages.
\nDetail-oriented, organized, and capable of balancing multiple project priorities.
\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.
\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
\n \nBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent work experience
\n2+ years of engineering experience (internships or co-op experience considered).
\nProficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
\nExperience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
\nLegally authorized to work in the United States."
