Part-Time Accounting Specialist
Location: Onsite in Harrisburg
Schedule: Part-Time, approximately 12–16 hours per week
Pay: Starting at $25/hour
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Specialist to support a nonprofit organization with payroll and general accounting responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Process biweekly payroll
Balance the general ledger during non-payroll weeks
Prepare and record monthly accounting expense entries
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
Previous payroll and general accounting experience required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with general ledger reconciliation preferred
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Strong organizational and communication skills
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
Schedule: Approximately 12–16 hours per week, with flexibility around the organization’s biweekly payroll schedule.
Candidates will participate in a prescreening process that includes questions related to the organization’s mission and values.
